Be a Part of The Mayor’s Christmas Parade!

By completing the application below, you affirm that you are an authorized representative of your group and that you have read, understand, and agree to follow all 2025 Mayor’s Annual Christmas Parade Participation Guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Mandatory virtual meeting: All group leaders must attend a required virtual parade briefing held no later than one week before the event. Attendance is required for participation.
  • Parade behavior and conduct: All entries must maintain respectful, family-friendly behavior at all times. Profanity, lewd gestures, aggressive conduct, alcohol, or illegal substances will result in removal from the parade.
  • Line-up and pace: Groups must assemble and disband at their assigned areas, stay in designated order, and maintain a steady walking pace to avoid gaps. No side-marching, counter-marching, or maneuvering that slows the parade is allowed.
  • Identification and spacing: All units must be clearly identified and maintain appropriate spacing between units and divisions.
  • Parade direction and safety: All participants must follow instructions from Parade Volunteers and City Police. Emergency routes must remain clear.
  • Vehicles and floats: All floats and vehicles must be decorated festively. Drivers must be licensed and insured. Walking pace is required. All motorized floats must carry a working fire extinguisher.
  • Sound and performances: Music and performances must be family-friendly and respectful of nearby groups. Officials may ask you to adjust volume.
  • Animals: Only well-behaved, leashed/harnessed animals are permitted. Groups must clean up after animals.
  • Clean-up: Groups are responsible for cleaning up any trash, decorations, or materials along the route and in staging areas.
  • Santa Claus: Please do not include traditional Santa impersonators—there is only one official Santa Claus at the end of the parade. Creative “Santaverse” characters are welcome, but must be clearly distinct from the traditional Santa.
  • Political/commercial messaging: No political signs, controversial content, or commercial advertising is allowed. Signs may display your group name only.
